discover the beauty of trash
pieces of me
we are all collectors
we are but a collection of our experiences, a rich brocade of our travels, friends, & day-to-day interactions. the details of what we are made of, fascinate me. i suppose that's why, when purging my kid's playroom, i looked at the broken, discarded bits of toys and saw far more than plastic. i saw memories, adventures, trips, along with the funny narratives that had played out in my kid's heads as they played and grew. they are pieces of our lives, and these bits spoke to me, not just as a mother, but as an artist. all these bits tell a story. when i create my art with these pieces, a new narrative gets added and they continue live on. now you can dream up their next story.
